How Can Chiropractic Care Help You?
I believe one of the most common misconceptions about Chiropractic is that all Chiropractors do the same thing. That is, we all just "pop" and "crack" backs. There are many different Chiropractic techniques that can be use to adjust the spine. We use a combination of at least 5 techniques in our office at Westmoreland Chiropractic Center.
The Misconceptions of Chiropractic Care
Sometimes if someone has a bad experience with Chiropractic, they may be unwilling to try another chiropractor because of this misconception. At Westmoreland Chiropractic, we try our best to work and find the best technique for the patient. Also, it's important to remember that our training also consists of being able to recognize conditions that perhaps need consulting with another type of practitioner. We are considered primary care physicians and are able to make referrals when necessary to specialists. We strive to do what is in the best interest of the patient and their health.
WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DOES A CHIROPRACTOR HAVE?
Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, generally preceded by an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or several years of experience in a prior relevant health care field.
Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,200 hours with their teacher, and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical training with an instructor as they learn the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to its natural, fully functioning state.
At Westmoreland Chiropractic Center our chiropractic team is ready to meet with you to discuss your needs. We will help to design a program that is right for you. We look forward to meeting you.
